Homeownership is not only a powerful wealth-generating tool, it improves health, education, and social outcomes for homeowners and their families. Women face a disproportionate inequity of access to homeownership due to lower income, uneven care responsibilities, and mortgage denials.

That’s why our Team #OKWOMEN returned for their 4th consecutive Women Build event: to empower women to build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

This year, we were in Greater Grand Crossing, framing homes and, according to team co-captain Joan Russick, “nailing what must have been 8,000 nails.” Under blue skies, our team of ten women put in the time and energy to raise funds, awareness, and walls.

But our fundraising window hasn’t closed!

Please help our team with a donation, any amount, to ensure the life-changing benefits of homeownership for the women homebuyers of Greater Grand Crossing.
