OKW’s third annual team, which includes Women Build veterans and a few new faces.
Team co-captains Joan Russick and Alaina Spiers are excited and eager to get the team back together for our third go at Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build event. Even with last year’s disruptions, our team was able to smash our fundraising goal.
Homeownership is not only a powerful wealth-generating tool, it improves health, education, and social outcomes for homeowners and their families. Women face a disproportionate inequity of access to homeownership due to lower income, uneven care responsibilities, and mortgage denials.
