OKW is committed to creatively advancing our communities, which includes giving back and helping various charities around Chicagoland.
We are incredibly proud of the initiative our staff has displayed to coordinate, launch, and manage our two big summer and fall fundraisers. Between these two initiatives, we are harnessing the charitable efforts of nearly everyone in our firm, bringing designers and professional staff together to provide critical aid and assistance to two very deserving organizations.
CANstruction
The first of our fundraisers is the annual CANstruction Design Competition, which benefits the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Tasked with making sure no one goes hungry, the Chicago Food Depository makes a daily, positive impact on our local community.
OKW is returning this year after many years of successful collaborations. We are partnering with Leopardo Companies and Milhouse Charities to bring a cosmic design idea to life. We are reaching for the stars with our fundraising goal, and we hope you can help us Blast Off Hunger. All of the nutritious canned foods we purchase to make our stellar construction will be donated to the families who rely on the Chicago Food Depository.
To donate to our campaign, please visit our GoFundMe page by August 18, 2019, or donate with the Cash app to $milhousecharities. Information on paper checks is also available at our team’s fundraising site.
Habitat for Humanity, Women Build
OKW is an official sponsor for this year’s Women Build initiative, organized by Habitat for Humanity. For many women, especially women of color who live in under-served communities, homeownership is difficult to attain due to lower income levels, childcare responsibilities, and systemic roadblocks.
The women of OKW are banding together to both build and provide the necessary resources to allow women in West Pullman to enjoy the financial benefits of homeownership. Please help us in reaching our goals!
To donate to our Women Build campaign, please visit our Fundly page. Any amount helps break down the barriers to homeownership, giving key communities assistance towards lifelong financial stability.
