Homeownership is not only a powerful wealth-generating tool, it improves health, education, and social outcomes for homeowners and their families. Women face a disproportionate inequity of access to homeownership due to lower income, uneven care responsibilities, and mortgage denials.
That’s why our Team #OKWOMEN returned for their 5th consecutive Women Build event: to empower women to build a stronger future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
This year, we were in West Pullman, handling exterior sheathing with our full team of ten. Although each of our four previous years have been fun, there was something in the air in 2023 that made our team both very productive and a little silly. Nothing wrong with having fun on the job site!
