Every firm needs a passionate and genuine advocate for personal and professional development. For OKW Architects, choosing that person, even among our enthusiastic staff, was a no-brainer. Cole Gagnon has been a fiery and vocal proponent of our staff from day one, inspiring those around her with her energetic personality and a booming laugh that fills the room.
As a mainstay of OKW for a cumulative twelve years, Cole is inseparable from the firm’s work and brand. Coworkers and clients alike agree that she embodies our firm’s commitment to finding interesting people to do challenging work. But it’s her devotion to our staff that has inspired our leadership to create a new and exciting role for her.
Outside of OKW, Cole will be known as our Director of People. She will support our staff on all levels, from helping new hires with the daily rigors of the architectural practice to coordinating manpower requirements with senior staff. As a vocal supporter of the firm and its people, her new role will help steer OKW not only towards more successful projects, but a greater sense of employee fulfillment.
But anyone close to Cole will know that she reacts to corporate titles like a mogwai in direct sunlight (and she would not expect everyone to understand that reference). So within OKW, she will be simply referred to as “Coach” - someone who has our back, is there to help raise every staff member to their fullest potential, and continues to regale us with her incisive wit.
We are lucky to enjoy Coach Cole’s talents and enthusiasm for our staff. We hope you can join us in congratulating her on earning this new position.
