The Future of OKW Workplace

By Emily Stampanato

After almost a decade of working in the Architecture community of Chicago I feel privileged to have developed an extensive portfolio of diverse design experiences including Healthcare, Higher Education, Discovery, and Workplace projects; each project representing a unique milestone in my career.  My portfolio tells the beautiful and unique story of each project; however it is the network of great relationships I have developed throughout these project experiences that truly tells my story as a designer.  Design is my profession; relationships are my passion.

With the new year came a new milestone as I joined OKW Architects as the leader of their Interiors Studio. I am honored to have joined such a talented studio of architects and designers and look forward to exciting project collaborations. My role within our Interiors Studio will focus on strengthening our relationship-focused design approach and diversifying our portfolio to include a Workplace Environments Initiative.  This initiative will be backed by a team of Workplace designers striving to deliver a design process that focuses on connectivity, extraction, and integration – a three step approach designed to encourage each clients’ unique story to come to life.

As I embark on the next decade of my career I am excited about all the experiences that lay ahead, but most importantly, the friendships I will make along the way.
