Project Manager - Interior Architecture

ABOUT THE POSITION

If you’ve cut your teeth and earned your badges in the interior design industry and are looking to take the next step in your career, look no further.

We need a full-time, creative, passionate, and thoughtful Project Manager with a focus on interior architecture with at least 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities include managing the design of projects of varying sizes and levels of complexity while providing team leadership. The position requires excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and creative problem-solving methods for addressing complex issues confidently.

The Project Manager participates in the design control of projects through all phases, being responsible for adhering to project budgets, achieving design intent goals, and building and maintaining strong client, contractor, and vendor relationships.

The Project Manager will also serve as the Group Leader for the Interior Design Team and is responsible for overseeing all project and office activities within their group. In addition to staff organization and workload, the ideal candidate will hold group meetings to discuss current and upcoming projects and help spread important office information.

This role will also be viewed as a mentor position, leading by example, and promoting the professional development of their group.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

NAAB Accredited Degree in Architecture; Licensed or Licensure in progress  

Work experience in workplace, hospitality, multi-family residential, and senior living with knowledge of building codes and accessible design

Ability to guide the entire design process including programming, space planning, and development of design concepts, while supervising the skill development of junior designers

Management skills to cover supervision and mentorship of project interiors team and outside consultants, and collaboration with the architectural teams

Proficient in: REVIT, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Ability to guide in the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for interior construction, materials, finishes, environmental graphics and specifications, bidding and review for furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
