Project Manager, Interiors
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Interiors team.
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for a full-time creative, passionate, and thoughtful Project Manager with at least 12 years of experience.
Responsibilities include managing the interior design aspects of projects varying in size and level of complexity, overseeing project objectives, budgets, schedule, and staffing.
Strong Mentorship skills are required for working with OKW’s junior interior design staff throughout the project process. The position requires excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and creative problem-solving in order to address complex issues confidently.
The Project Manager must also possess positive communication skills, exhibiting the ability to maintain strong client, contractor, and vendor relationships.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Work experience in workplace, hospitality, multi-family residential and senior living with an interest in other markets
Knowledge of building codes and accessible design
Ability to guide the entire design process including programming, space planning and development of documentation and execution of design concepts
Manage and serve as a mentor and resource for the interior design team
Collaborate as required with architectural teams on projects that have an interiors component
Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
Ability to review construction drawings and specifications for interior construction, materials, finishes, environmental graphics and specifications, bidding and review for furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills at the group level, participating in weekly office-wide staffing meetings
