ABOUT THE POSITION
The Interior Design Associate is someone who will jump right into the interior design process across a variety of projects. They can be private clubs, corporate offices, senior living campuses, or even retail stores.
The right candidate will be able to contribute to the entire interior design process: programming, space planning, inventory, field verification, concept documentation, design presentations, and construction documents.
You will be expected to support Senior Designers in the selection of materials, colors, textures, furniture and furnishings and lighting, as well as help in efforts to communicate design information to in house personnel and clients through written and graphic presentations.
A day in the life of the Interior Design Associate’s day might also include: assisting in arranging palettes of materials and creating material boards for in-house and client presentations; assisting in the preparation of construction drawings and material and finish specifications for interior construction and implementation of interior design; and working with other Interior Designers and Interiors administrator for library management and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
The right candidates will have up to three years of experience in an architecture or design firm and a bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture from an accredited school.
