Founders Row

Mount Prospect, Illinois

Located across the street from the Village’s Library and Village Hall, the building architecture is urban and intended to compliment the architecture and streetscape of the village’s facilities. The style of the buildings is inspired by the robust architecture of H. H. Richardson and other practitioners from the Arts and Crafts era. A strong double archway, detailed in brick and cast stone, provides a generous yet protected recessed porch and entryway for each unit. The roof of the building steps down toward each end, both to diminish the height of the building, and to allow the end units to have fully developed elevations on both the front and side.
