OKW was engaged by Tucker Development to create a mixed-use building in the heart of the Historic Fulton Market District. Ranging in height from two to four stories, we connected 11 existing buildings to accommodate retail and office uses. The design vision centered around enhancing the pedestrian experience and creating complementary spaces in support of the changing retail and office environment of the West Loop.
NEWCITY

NEWCITY is one of the most remarkable demonstrations of an urban mixed use project in the City of Chicago in the past decade. It took close to 10 years and cost nearly $300,000,000 from initial concept to grand opening. It is a story of how a well conceived ideally located, mixed use urban development survived the worst financial tsunami to hit the commercial real estate industry in the last 70 years.

This landmark synagogue and school sits on a 14 acre site on the Lake Michigan shore. The building was originally designed by Minoru Yamasaki, the architect of the World Trade Center.

An urban mall in the heart of the Chicago Loop, Block 37 offers more than 280,000 square feet of commercial retail space within a dramatic five story atrium. The project provides connections from retail to the neighboring media tower, as well as CTA blue and red line stations.
