Matt Schapen

PROJECT architect

Matt’s experience in retail, hospitality, healthcare, and multifamily makes him an asset in any team. A natural communicator, he is a rising star in our studio with an enviable work ethic and a positive attitude. He earned a dual Masters in Architecture and Construction Management from the University of Illinois. As a student, he was involved in research with the Army Corps of Engineers developing a system for autonomous construction.

Outside of architecture, he enjoys all things active: playing volleyball, softball, running, and working out. He appreciates exploring the city and supporting Chicago sports teams (#gosox).

If I won the lottery, I would: Build my own lake house, buy a boat, and sit on the leftover pile of cash
