As a lifelong tinkerer, Nicholas “Nic” Sahm knows how to take something apart and put it back together. This talent, which he practices daily on his prairie-style home, comes in handy as a project manager and an architect. Throughout his career, he has worked in retail-centric hospitality rollouts nationwide, which has required his ability to rearrange the pieces of the puzzle for different locations, climates, and challenges. He has worked in architecture studios and as an in-house designer for exciting technology companies, in each case focusing on design and prototyping.
On a lifelong quest to “know everything about everything,” he is constantly learning and building on his skills. As an Indiana native with a degree from IIT, Nic brings to OKW his natural Midwestern friendliness, deep technical experience, and a pragmatic approach to the practice.
If there were only skill at which you could instantly become an expert, what would it be? A Pilot. I really want to be able to fly anything with two wings or a rotor.
An invention that you wish someone would make: It’s a toss-up between “Low Energy Electrolysis” or “Cold Fusion.”
If you could have one superpower: Healing. This would have been very useful during my daredevil youth.
