A Chicago native through and through (despite an educational detour to the South), Mary brings to OKW a balance between architecture’s technical rigors and creative wonder. After earning her undergraduate degree in architecture from Georgia Tech, she furthered her studies at the School of the Art Institute with a Masters with an emphasis on Interior Architecture. These two institutions, one known for its engineering and the other for its focus on creative theory, inform how Mary views the built environment.
Mary’s friendly and outgoing personality is the product of spending time with (her words) an enormous extended family. Outside of OKW, she is sharpening her knife block, traveling, and drawing on her previous experience at dog shows, doting on her two pups.
