Project Architect
ABOUT THE POSITION
You can’t be an architecture studio without the smart, talented people who grew up sketching and building things. And thanks to several new projects, we want more of them.
OKW is looking for a full-time Architect with 5+ years of experience working in the industry, and with a history of getting their hands dirty on a variety of project types.
We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills who can be adaptable and creatively solve complex issues while also mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities will include preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. If interested, you must be adaptable to the details of different project types, which could include programming, code/zoning, entitlement issues, construction documentation, bidding, permitting, and experience with the construction administration process.
We also like our OKWers to be creative, passionate, and to bring all of themselves to the office (tattoos, underground music taste, and book club ideas welcome!).
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
NAAB accredited degree in architecture
5+ years of professional experience working in architecture
Must be actively pursuing licensure or be a licensed architect
Candidates should be proficient in use of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, and Photoshop. Experience with Lumion and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities is key.
Strong leadership, communication, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well with a broad array of personality types
SALARY
