Evanston Golf Club

Skokie, Illinois

A significant part of being a strategic advisor to our clients is providing choices and advising on the impact of their decision. With Evanston Golf Club, that meant choosing between building a new clubhouse or renovating what they already had. In the private club world, that involves not only construction dollars, but emotional considerations.

After careful and strategic planning, focus groups, and design exercises, Club members voted to renovate their existing clubhouse at a cost that was significantly less than the estimate for new construction and almost twice the finished square footage than would have been possible with a new building.

In doing this, they also kept a clubhouse that has inspired for generations and will continue to serve its members for decades to come.
